Tony Stark, makes ya feel, he's a cool exec with a heart of steel...
Go see Iron Man.

It's good.

For those of you who know how judgmental I am about super-hero movies, you'll know what a big deal it is for me to simply say "It's good." and you should see it.

So go see Iron Man.

Go ahead.

Go now.

Go on.

Go.

Yeah. Made of awesome. Still kind of buzzed from seeing it. Also scribbling my name + Robert Downey, Jr. on ALL my school notebooks.

And for you dudes -- lots of splodey, so it's ok.

As the man said, go.

For the dudes it's also got Leslie Bibb and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Plus, in a rare occurrence for a super-hero film, the script is well-written and tightly plotted. The more I write, the more I realize this is where most films fall apart.

Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not advise folks to stay ALL THE WAY through the credits. Right up to the very, very end.

Probably should have said Gwyneth Paltrow and Leslie Bibb, as the angelic Ms. P. has quite a bit more screen time.

I saw it this afternoon, myself, and thoroughly enjoyed it. And I agree, it is very well written! And yes, tightly plotted. Although afterward, the people sitting behind me complained that there should have been a further pay-off of Obie's paralyser. But given the length of the film as is, that's a minor thing in my book.

I thought it was very well directed and acted too. The delicate way that Paltrow & Downey handle Pepper & Tony's attraction to each other was just right. It has depth, and there are all sorts of possibilities to it.

And yeah... the "after the credits" bit is a very nice tease.

And I don't even read Marvel books. Heh.

Seeing Sunday afternoon. After all, that was always my favorite theme song from those cartoons.

It was a really fun movie to watch. I went in not knowing much about Iron Man other than from watching a few cartoons as a kid. The movie did a good job of presenting his story while keeping it action-packed. The pace was very good. I didn't get bored at any time. Robert Downey Jr. did a superb job. I wasn't sure of the casting when I first heard he'd be Tony Stark, but he captured it perfectly. I'm anxious to go see it again.
